Primavera '85 Cooperativa Sociale

History
Primavera ’85 Cooperativa Sociale was founded in 1985 by a group of parents who needed some social and educational services for their disabled children. The first C.E.O.D. (Daily Occupational Educational Centre) was opened with the help of Altavilla’s and Sovizzo’s Public Administrations and it took care of six disabled people.
During these 25 years Primavera ’85 invested in skills, quality and relations, and, actually, it manages six units focused on different kinds of disabilities, 70 users, 40 workers and a large group of volunteers.
The members of Primavera85 have always believed in innovation and improvement regarding people’s welfare, therefore during these last 5 years they developed many pilot projects focused on different kinds of social needs.
Mission
Our mission is continuously to improve disabled people’s quality life, not only by understanding their daily needs but mostly by pointing out their capabilities in order for them to fulfil their expectations.
Aims
Answer to the needs of disabled and mentally disordered people through educational and rehabilitative services;
Promote initiatives apt to restore either the social and working position of disabled people thus improving their general welfare;
Help the disabled in their relationship with their families by providing solutions to the problems they may incur into and have to deal with;
Help the disabled to overcome the difficulties related to interaction with other people.
Disability
Job training centre for disabled people
Centro di Lavoro Protetto (C.L.P.)
It helps people with different disabilities to be reemployed into the working world by providing them jobs appropriate to their capabilities thus improving their social life.

Local Educational Group
Gruppo Educativo Territoriale (G.E.T.)
It’s addressed to people with disability from medium to severe.
Its educational projects regard both the personal condition of the disabled person, and his or her relation with the local community.

Elderly Disabled Centre
Centro Anziani Disabili (C.A.D.)
It was founded to answer the emerging needs of elderly users by getting them involved in occupational therapy, and the planning of social events in order to maintain their individual autonomy as long as possible, and encourage exchange with the local community.
Casa Roncolato” Center
Centro “Casa Roncolato”

Casa Roncolato” is a donation of Mr. Roncolato who wanted to dedicate his native home to social projects. After a big restructuring that involved a Bank’s Foundation and other private investors, “Casa Roncolato”, since 2006, is a Daily Educational and Occupational Centre with two different approaches: the first focused on rehabilitation of disabled people in order for them to develop social and occupational capabilities; the second focused on maintaining and improving them.
At the moment, since “Casa Roncolato” has been provided with a well equipped gymnasium, a qualified personnel is beginning a training program for disabled people to help them to reach a physical rehabilitation, and to maintain it. Another project regards support to school members, minors, families by offering psychological counselling to help them to deal with the many difficulties they may incur into.
Shop
Primavera '85 has a small shop where costumers may find gifts or useful objects fully hand made by the disabled members.
Autism
During the past, in Vicenza, autistic people didn’t have specific cures and they were often involved in ineffective or wrong educational programmes.
Primavera ’85 is the first social cooperative in Vicenza that gives attention to this complex syndrome, and in 2006 opened the first Daily Occupational Educational Centre fully devoted to autistic people
C.E.O.D. develops educational programs focused on people suffering from the autistic syndrome in order to help them to deal with their incapability of social interaction caused by communication disorders and altered sensorial perception.
In September 2009, we opened another centre focused on educational projects for autistic children, with the help of a parents’ group and the collaboration of the town of Thiene’s Public Administration.

Childhood
Since 2007 we provides a service for children from 6 to 11 years old. The aims of this service are: to help children in their homework, especially those with cognitive difficulties; to give them the possibility to express their capabilities and creativity through artistic and cultural projects; to help socialization and integration through informal and play activities.
